FRCs help our families gain access to early intervention services for their child.
Family Resources Coordinators (FRCs) link families with funding and appropriate community resources. They also participate in each child's initial developmental evaluation and then facilitate the development of the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) with the family and therapy/education team members. The IFSP focuses on developmentally appropriate goals for the child and addresses family needs. These goals are incorporated into the individual therapy sessions, early education program, and daily home life.
Prior to a child turning three, the FRC will also guide the family through the process of transitioning out of Early Intervention services, whether it is to the child's local school district or to a community program.
