Celebrating Black History Month

- In 1956, she was involved in Bus Boycott in Montgomery, Alabama.
“People always say that I didn’t give up my seat because I was tired, but that isn’t true. I was not tired physically, or no more tired than I usually was at the end of a working day. I was not old, although some people have an image of me as being old then. I was forty-two. No, the only tired I was, was tired of giving in.”

Kaleidoscope Play and Learn Groups – Join Us!
Kaleidoscope Play and Learn is a FREE drop-in community class for children ages 0-5 and their caregiver. Play and Learn is held on Mondays from 2-3:30 at Children’s Therapy Center and Tuesdays from 11:45-1:15 at J.J. Smith Birth to Five Center in Enumclaw.
Kaleidoscope Play and Learn classes offer opportunities for children and their adult to explore a variety of toys/activities, engage in arts and crafts, hear a story, and sing fun songs. Since this is a drop in class, families can come to all or part of it according to their schedule. This is a great opportunity for children and their adult to meet new friends in this active and playful class. During the warmer months parts of class are held outdoors on the playground.
Children’s Therapy Center is a health care facility and adults are required to wear a mask. We also have room capacity limits, so families are asked to call Peggy Hobart at 253-216-0851 to reserve a place in that day’s class.
