Celebrating Volunteer Susan Adams
At CTC we love our volunteers! In celebration of Volunteer Appreciation Week in April, we invited Board member Susan Adams to share a little about herself and why she supports Children’s Therapy Center.
Tell us some fun facts about yourself!
CTC has an extra-special place in my heart because that is where my husband, George, and I met. I love sports of all kinds, with my current loves being pickleball, hiking and snowshoeing. I also love music, singing and dancing. I was a dentist in Kent for 40 years, and now that I am retired, I volunteer as much as I can at CTC and through our church on behalf of our community.
Do you have a personal mantra, favorite quote or motto?
“With God, all things are possible” and Mother Theresa’s, “We all can’t do great things, but we all can do small things with great love.”
What do you enjoy or value most about volunteering with CTC?
The organizational culture! The staff create such an atmosphere of collaboration, caring and commitment. I am blown away and am so inspired and proud to be a small part of it. Seeing the smiles of the children and their families warms my heart to know they are being nurtured and supported to reach their potential.
We thank you, Susan!
Over last 16 years, Susan has volunteered her time in countless ways including sharing her expertise as a member of our Board of Directors, advocating for CTC with state legislators, helping at events including annual fundraisers and Embassy Suites’ Trick or Suite, and representing CTC at community resource events. We are so proud to have you as part of the CTC family, and are extremely grateful for you service and support over the years.
