Larisa Sanchez, SLP
Years with CTC: 7
Fun facts:
I have the most lovable Australian Shepherd named Charlie that loves snuggles and to go on long walks. When I am out and about, I enjoy hiking and swimming in the pool as well as open water to get exercise. It is also a great time to be alone with my own thoughts. When I’m home, you can find me watching a movie, baking a dessert or working on a puzzle. I also have a great boyfriend and enjoy hanging out with him and his two amazing boys.
Personal mantra, favorite quote or motto:
There is a story behind every person. There’s a reason why they are the way they are. Think about that before you judge someone.
What do you enjoy or value most about working at CTC?
I value the friendships I have made. I also really enjoy working for an organization that truly cares for those we serve and always strives to do better.
What is your favorite activity/game/book/toy/resources to share with families?
My favorite games that I feel can be adapted for kids under three and also can grow with them are: Jumping Jack, Porcupine Pop and Don’t Break the Ice. My favorite books are Usborne reusable sticker books (All Better, Kisses Cuddles and Good Night, Little Bear Needs Glasses)
If you could be an animal or cartoon character, what would you be and why?
I’d be Tigger if I was picking a character that describes my personality. He’s very enthusiastic and loves to share his enthusiasm with others. But if I could pick a character I’d be, it would probably be Rapunzel. She’s adventurous and wants to see what’s out in the world. She is strong and believes she can do it on her own if others won’t help. But she is also sweet and caring and wants to believe in the good in others.
