Planned gifts allow CTC to sustain and strengthen our critical services for future generations of children with special needs.  A planned giving commitment sends a powerful message to your family and community about the importance of ensuring pediatric therapy, education, and family resources for your community.

We invite you to consider any of the following ways to include a gift to CTC in your estate plans:

 

Gifts in Your Will or Trust

Making a gift to CTC in your will or trust is easy to do. Work with an attorney or use other resources to include language in your will or trust specifying that a gift to be made to Children’s Therapy Center.

Your attorney can include the necessary language in your will, a codicil to your will, or your revocable living trust.  Here are possible clauses to include in these documents: 

Unrestricted Purpose

I give, devise and bequeath [identify here the specific sum of money, the specific asset or the portion of the residual estate] to Children’s Therapy Center, 10811 SE Kent Kangley Road, Kent, WA  98030 in such a manner as the Board of Trustees of Children’s Therapy Center may direct.

Restricted

I give, devise and bequeath [identify here the specific sum of money, the specific asset or the portion of the residual estate] to Children’s Therapy Center, 10811 SE Kent Kangley Road, Kent, WA  98030, specifically for [describe the primary purpose, such as CTC’s Endowment Fund, early intervention, therapies for children ages 3-18, or therapy equipment, etc. Use general language so that the restriction is not so limited as to prevent CTC from applying the money in the most beneficial way.] 

If it is determined by the Board of Trustees of Children’s Therapy Center that all or part of the gift is no longer needed, or for any reason cannot be used for the stated purpose, then such portion of the gift may be used for other related purposes, which the Board of Trustees deems to be in the best interests of Children’s Therapy Center, giving consideration to the original purposes described above.

 

Beneficiary Designations: Future Gifts Made Easy

There are simple and easy ways to support the future of CTC that don’t require an attorney.  Make CTC a beneficiary of a bank or brokerage account, retirement plan, life insurance policy or annuity.  Assets in these accounts are passed to beneficiaries without going through probate.
