In September, we welcomed a group of 55 volunteers from MainVue Homes and another 17 from Microsoft who accomplished an unbelievable list of tasks at our Kent campus – projects that would have cost us thousands if we’d had to do them ourselves. And as a nonprofit, CTC depends on the support and generosity of our community to help us serve children with special needs.
Our amazing volunteers helped paint the exterior of the building (which was constructed in 2004 and needed some love) and make some much-needed repairs to our storage sheds that house adaptive equipment and other supplies for the children we serve. That’s not all! They also installed new plants and pavers to make our walkways clear and safe for families to navigate and even replaced some leaking windows in our billing office. And thanks to Microsoft’s corporate volunteer matching program, CTC received an additional $2,125 donation from the company.
We’ve said it before, and we’ll keep saying it: we love our volunteers. Thank you SO much for all you do!
