On October 20, 2016 guests gathered for CTC’s Annual Giving Luncheon to celebrate children with special needs. The crowd raised more than $77,000 to help CTC reach even more children in need of services!
Mimi Jung, KING 5 News anchor, emceed the event and introduced the guest speaker, Deb Lindsay, who received services at Children’s Therapy Center nearly thirty years ago as a small child. Deb described how she made amazing strides in therapy, reaching milestones that changed her life and helped prepare her for the transition into adulthood. Today, Deb is a proud mother of two – and, as she shared, with another child on the way.
CTC’s Spirit of Inspiration Award was presented to a member of our community who exemplifies the spirit of compassion and philanthropy in Washington and inspires others by giving of their time, expertise and/or financial support to maximize the potential of children with special needs. We were delighted to honor Dr. Stephen Glass, CTC’s Medical Director. Dr. Glass has been actively involved at CTC since its founding in 1979. In addition to serving as liaison to the medical community, he has provided invaluable professional counsel to our staff and advised on many of our most challenging cases.
Finally, Jackson VanQuill, who has received therapy services at CTC for the majority of his 16 years, spoke eloquently and convincingly of the need to support CTC. Jackson, thank you for being such a fantastic spokesperson!
Each year, CTC helps more than 3,000 children learn to walk, talk, eat, and reach their full potential. With your help, we change lives. To all who attended this fantastic event – thank you for your generous support!
