Shannon Watkins is the Boost Program Family Navigator at Children’s Therapy Center.
What do you enjoy and value most about working at CTC?:
I enjoy collaborating with our therapy and special education teams, the families we work with, and outside agencies. I also love seeing the representations of diversity in the workplace. I love working with children with developmental delays and helping their families access early learning services and community-based resources. I provide support to families with an authentic and holistic approach, helping families feel more confident when advocating for their child’s needs.
What is your favorite activity to share with families?
Planting a garden or cooking together.
About Shannon:
I live in Kent, WA. I am married with four children, and two grandchildren. I enjoy going to the ocean, nature, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
Fun facts about me: Owner of A’NEW U Skincare LLC since 2017. I was on a drill team called Sweet Mahogany and performed at the Torchlight parade in high school. In 2014, my daughter’s drill team performed in the Howard University Homecoming Parade in Washington, DC, and I got picked by the Team Directors to be a marching parent.
