Early Support for Infants and Toddlers (ESIT)
Help When You Need It Most – Birth to Three Years
Every child develops at their own pace, and every developmental journey is unique. If you notice your baby or toddler developing differently than you expected, whether it's with movement, communication, eating, or connecting with others, you're not alone! Many families seek support when they have questions about their child’s development. Early support can make a meaningful difference in your child's growth and development.
ESIT at Children’s Therapy Center
Children's Therapy Center provides a variety of services designed to help children thrive, including Early Support for Infants and Toddlers (ESIT), Washington State's program designed to support families and children from birth to three years old who may benefit from developmental services. Through ESIT, we work alongside families to support development, celebrate progress, and create opportunities for growth and learning.
There is no "wrong" reason to reach out. Whether you're noticing something that concerns you or if a doctor recommended an evaluation, we're here to listen, answer questions, and help you navigate what comes next.
How We Support Your Family
Our approach is centered around you and your family. We don’t just work with your child—we partner with you in your everyday routines and settings where your child learns best: at home, at daycare, or in your community.
Here is what you should expect when you contact us:
- Intake
Getting started is easy. Parents and caregivers can contact Children's Therapy Center directly if they have questions or concerns about their child's development. Healthcare providers can also make a referral. One of our referral coordinators will connect with your family to learn more about your child and answer any questions you may have. From there, we'll schedule a developmental evaluation to better understand your child's strengths and needs and determine whether early support services may be helpful - Evaluation and Assessment
Our team will complete a thorough assessment to understand your child's strengths and any areas where they might benefit from support. This is done in a comfortable way, through play, observation, and activities designed for your child’s age and stage of development. - Your Family's Individualized Plan (IFSP)
Together, we will create an Individualized Family Service Plan that reflects your priorities, your family's routine, and your child's unique needs. We will make every decision TOGETHER. - Family-Centered Coaching
